Heels, Pirates resuming rivalry
Posted Sep 8, 2007
North Carolina and East Carolina — old rivals separated by a little more than 100 miles of asphalt — will play each other in football today for only the 11th time. And that will be cause for great anticipation in Greenville. Today’s game at 6 p.m. will be only UNC’s second at East Carolina’s Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, where UNC declined to play until four years ago.
