March 8, 1985 - Joe Wolf scored North Carolina's last six points of regulation and the sixth-ranked Tar Heels went on to defeat Wake Forest in overtime, 72-61, in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals at the Omni. Carolina, the ACC's regular-season champion, trailed most of the game and was down 47-39 after Dean Smith was called for a technical foul with 7:37 left.
