Posted Mar 16, 2013
P.J. Hairston received eight stitches to the webbing of his left hand between his middle and ring fingers after suffering an injury late in Friday’s 83-62 Tar Heels’ quarterfinal win over Florida State. At the time, Hairston was no better than a game time decision for Saturday’s 79-76 semifinal victory over Maryland. But Hairston warmed up, started and scored 13 points in a career-high 36 minutes.
