North Carolina had just survived Maryland 79-76 Saturday to advance into its 32nd – and perhaps most improbable – ACC tournament final. It was a hard-earned victory whose euphoria lasted only long enough for coach Roy Williams to realize the task his team faces next. “We’re getting ready to play somebody who has beaten us twice by about eight million points,” he said.
