North Carolina shows toughness in win over Maryland

Roy Williams may consider the ACC tournament one big cocktail party, but his remodeled club is sticking around for last call. The Tar Heels played like they didn't want to go home Saturday. UNC advanced to Sunday's championship game against top-seeded Miami by surviving a 79-76 semifinal that started as an offensive exhibition and ended as a grind-it-out test of toughness.
