P.J. Hairston led UNC with 15 points in the game. And he had really transformed his game since UNC’s switch to a small lineup, averaging 18.2 points on 44.7% shooting in the final 13 games, adding 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and nearly 2.0 steals per game. Hairston’s buy-in (and/or Roy Williams’ decision to insert him into the lineup) was one of the main reasons UNC’s season turned around.
