Twenty years ago, the North Carolina Tar Heels won their second national championship under Dean Smith. Here now, in their own words, is the story of that season. The team was built with some hard-won recruiting battles, including spiriting Eric Montross out of Indianapolis after a heated recruiting battle with Michigan.
