Tar Heels lose Chase Rice to injury

The North Carolina football team suffered a major loss in its season-opening win over James Madison. Junior linebacker Chase Rice, who limped off the field early in the second quarter of the Tar Heels' 37-14 victory at Kenan Stadium, suffered ligament damage in his left ankle and will miss the rest of the regular season. He said Rice is scheduled to have surgery today.
