UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin ready to shine

Marvin Austin could have played for Florida State or LSU or Southern Cal and been just one of the high school All-Americans those programs seem to collect. But when the nation’s No. 1 defensive tackle prospect selected North Carolina in February 2007, he chose to become the face of a rebuilding effort. One year into that process, Austin and the Tar Heels seem ahead of schedule.
