Heels' tailback spot still in limbo

North Carolina will continue its running-back-by-committee approach at ECU, coach Butch Davis said Monday, as coaches wait for one of the young tailbacks to separate himself from the pack. Saturday would be a good time. The Pirates allowed run-oriented Virginia Tech only 33 rushing yards in their 17-7 loss in Blacksburg. Davis wants to establish the running game in Greenville, but he knows his team faces a large task. (Raleigh News & Observer)
