Heels to Hall: Roy Williams Joins Dean Smith

There has always been a strong bond between Roy Williams and Dean Smith. Williams, North Carolina’s current men’s basketball coach, works in the massive arena that bears the name of Smith, his longtime mentor and former boss. The two will add another link next weekend when Williams joins Smith in the Basketball Hall of Fame. Fittingly, his presenter will be his idol. (New York Times)
