P.J. Hairston's Big Impact

P.J. Hairston was born at 7:30 in the morning on Christmas Eve. His arrival was the best Christmas gift Wendy Mailey, his mother, could have imagined, but it was also the most terrifying. Mailey was only 19, a student at North Carolina A&T, when she had him. She admits she had no idea how to be a mother back then and no clue what the future had in store for them. (Inside Carolina)
