Roy Williams offers Harry Giles

, a 2016 power forward from Greensboro, NC (Wesleyan Christian Academy), has received a scholarship offer from according to both Inside Carolina and Tar Heel Illustrated.

Giles (6'8", 205) is perhaps the top freshman in North Carolina and becomes the first freshman to receive an offer from Williams since Williams arrived at UNC. Giles attended two UNC games this past season, once on February 16th for the Tar Heels' game against Virginia and again on March 9th for the UNC-Duke game.

It's still early in the recruiting process for Giles, so he likely won't commit in the near future, but being the first player in UNC's 2016 basketball recruiting class to receive an offer should have UNC high on Giles' list at this point. Giles is a teammate of 2014 shooting guard , who also has an offer from North Carolina.
