Behind Emanuel, No. 1 UNC shuts down N.C. State
Posted Apr 27, 2013
UNC’s ace Kent Emanuel didn’t have the cleanest game ever. In fact, he had just one clean inning out of his eight innings pitched. He allowed plenty of base runners, and even allowed seven hits. But he brought his record to 9-1 on the season and No. 1 North Carolina’s to 41-3 overall (19-2 in the ACC). No. 6 N.C. State (33-11, 14-8) is saving its ace Carlos Rodon for Saturday.
