Tar Heels' Yates passes for 3 TDs

Three plays into the reinvention of North Carolina's football program, quarterback T.J. Yates -- a redshirt freshman who spent last season watching -- executed a perfect pump fake, hung a high spiral in the September air and watched as receiver Brooks Foster ran under it for a 65-yard touchdown. It was the first of three touchdown passes Yates would throw in the Tar Heels' 37-14 victory against James Madison in sold-out Kenan Stadium.
