UNC: Always upbeat, Davis sells his vision

The list of tragedies and setbacks in his life is a long one. His mother died when he was young. His promising football career was cut short by an injury. He's been divorced. He's been fired. He's had cancer. It would seem to be perfect fodder for a country song. But to Butch Davis, it just makes his recruiting pitch that much better. (Greensboro News & Record)
