UNC's Allie Long Named ACC Player of the Week


North Carolina midfielder has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference's first Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the 2008 season. Long, a senior from Northport, N.Y., led the Tar Heels with a career-high five points on two goals and an assist in last Friday night's 5-1 season-opening win over two-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference champion Charlotte.
