Kwe Parker picks up first scholarship offer
Posted May 31, 2013
Virginia Tech has become the first college to officially offer a basketball scholarship to Kwe Parker, a rising sophomore at Fayetteville's Trinity Christian School. Parker, a 6-foot-2 guard, and teammate Dennis Smith Jr., a 6-1 point guard, are considered two of the top class of 2016 recruits in the country. Parker averaged 10.6 points as a freshman, and his windmill dunk off an alley-oop pass from Smith ranked No. 1 on SportsCenter's "Top Ten" segment earlier this month.
