Brandon Tate seeks rise in receiving rate

As much as Brandon Tate tends to thrill North Carolina football fans with kickoff and punt returns, he was far from fulfilled with his role during his first two seasons. But that’s changing as he takes a spot as a starting receiver, beginning with Saturday night’s opener against visiting James Madison. To put it neatly in one 195-pound package, Tate intends to dramatically increase the fre-quency of his highlight-reel contributions.
