The Tar Heels, under first-year coach Butch Davis, have one of the youngest teams in the country, as there are only 10 seniors on scholarship and 73 percent of the scholarship players are underclassmen. Junior Brandon Tate is one of the country's best kickoff returners, and his role could develop as a receiver, but the quarterback position is a question mark.
