Richie Rich to start at running back in opener
Posted Aug 28, 2007
North Carolina may play two or three different running backs during Saturday's season opener against James Madison. Sophomore Richie Rich will get the first opportunity, coach Butch Davis said Monday. Rich -- who carried the ball once last year for minus-1 yard -- "separated himself ... slightly,'' from redshirt freshmen Johnny White and Anthony Elzy, the coach said. White and Elzy are listed as co-backups on the depth chart.
