2014 DE Tyler Powell commits to UNC

Defensive end (6'4", 255, Midlothian, VA) committed to North Carolina on Monday, according to multiple sources. Powell is currently rated a 2-star prospect by Scout.com and a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports, although those ratings will almost certainly rise due to his strong performance on the summer camp circuit.

Powell was recently named defensive line MVP at the College Prep World Football Camp, and he will likely attend UNC's "Freak Show" on June 15th, a camp for some of the Tar Heels' most highly-prized recruits. Powell also had scholarship offers from West Virginia, Michigan State, and Wisconsin, among others.
