Ravenscroft TE Avery Edwards commits to UNC

Ravenscroft School's Avery Edwards made a verbal commitment Tuesday. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end committed to the University of North Carolina, according to Ravenscroft football coach Ned Gonet. Edwards was sought after by a number of schools, holding offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
