Davis brings high expectations to job and leads by example as he fights cancer

The players found out how serious Butch Davis is about football in the spring, when he was undergoing chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He lost his hair because of his treatments, but he never missed a spring practice. His new players admired his determination, and receiver Joe Dailey said that many considered shaving their heads in a sign of support.
