Chapel Hill flooded from 'buckets' of rain on Sunday

An unsettled weather pattern that hung over central North Carolina produced showers and thunderstorms Sunday that dumped heavy rain on Durham, Orange and Chatham counties, prompting flash flooding and causing residents in some areas to be evacuated from their homes. As of 10 p.m., 5.11 inches of rain fell in Chapel Hill Sunday, breaking the record for the area's wettest day. (WRAL.com)
