UNC shortstop Michael Russell will cherish his first trip to the College World Series for a long time. Russell, a sophomore for the Tar Heels, had a memorable time in Omaha as he showcased his talent in front of more than 20,000 fans and on national television. The 20-year-old even drew attention for trading jabs on Twitter with former American Idol Scotty McCreery, an N.C. State student.
