Jonathan Cooper among impressive list of nominees for ACC’s McKelvin Award

At the rate he’s going, former North Carolina football player and Wilmington native Jonathan Cooper may soon run out of room in his trophy case. The All-America offensive guard, who was taken by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 7 overall pick in April’s NFL draft, has been named one of 12 finalists for the Anthony J. McKelvin Award, symbolic of the ACC’s Male Athlete of the Year for 2012-13.
