Bryn Renner says meaning of UNC ‘championship’ rings misunderstood

Bryn Renner wasn’t wearing the ring he and his UNC teammates were given by coach Larry Fedora for winning last year’s Coastal Division “championship.” But that doesn’t mean he feels the need to offer any apologies for having it. Asked about the controversial subject Sunday, the Tar Heel quarterback said that people outside the UNC program have misinterpreted what the rings represent.
