Linebacker Ty Tomlin the latest to pick Tar Heels

North Carolina continues to pick up talent from Cobb County. Marietta’s became the latest local football player to commit to the Tar Heels, joining two safeties — Wheeler’s and North Cobb’s — who announced their decisions last month. Tomlin committed last Wednesday and settled on his final five — North Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, NC State and Kentucky — before going with the Tar Heels. (Marietta Daily Journal)
