UNC excited to have Matt Harvey
Posted Aug 17, 2007
Matt Harvey, the 118th pick of the draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Nate Stritz, the 182nd pick by the Minnesota Twins, decided to forego the signing bonuses and play for the Tar Heels for, at least, the next three years. The Harvey and Stritz decisions give Mike Fox a 12-man freshman crop which is one of the top in the nation for a program that has been the national runner-up to Oregon State each of the last two years.
