Secondary Stepping Up

The secondary is loaded with youth and inexperience, which had raised some concerns from the coaching staff during spring practice. That opinion is slowly changing, however, as newcomers and veterans alike are learning the system and making plays. Redshirt freshman Deunta Williams enrolled at UNC as a wide receiver last fall, before moving to the defensive backfield in the spring. The free safety has begun to turn heads during training camp.
