Big things on defense for UNC

North Carolina football had one of the nation's better defenses throughout the 1990s, placing numerous alumni in the National Football League. However, since Julius Peppers and Ryan Sims led the 2001 team to a victory against Auburn in the Peach Bowl, all but one Tar Heel team has proved to be undermanned and undersized along the defensive line. This should all change soon.
