Heading into his third NFL season, with a logjam on the Giants' defensive line and his professional future in doubt, it was the opportunity Marvin Austin had been waiting for. In all, Austin played 33 snaps against the Steelers. It may have been merely an exhibition, but it was Austin's most significant involvement in a football game since his junior year at North Carolina in 2009.
