Elijah Hood named to MaxPreps preseason All-American team

Charlotte Catholic senior running back Elijah Hood is the only Carolinas player on the 2013 MaxPreps preseason All-American team. On Sunday, Hood was named the Observer and Raleigh News & Observer's top recruit in North and South Carolina. On Tuesday, he caused national recruiting shockwaves by decommitting from Notre Dame and reopening his recruiting. Many recruiting experts are now predicting he'll commit to North Carolina, which had been his second choice.
