Benefits of opening at South Carolina outweigh drawbacks for UNC

A game like this, even a loss, does wonders for the brand Larry Fedora is trying to build at North Carolina and the excitement he’s generated around the program. Even though the fact that South Carolina is an SEC team plays into that buzz, Fedora wasn’t necessarily buying into the whole “ACC vs. SEC” storyline.
