Matt Harvey May Be in Denial About Injury


From the moment Mets general manager Sandy Alderson revealed the nature of 's elbow injury earlier this week, the outcome seemed preordained. Harvey, the 24-year-old pitching prodigy, the great hope of this downtrodden franchise, would have Tommy John surgery and miss all of 2014.
