Davis has Tar Heels for first practice

North Carolina began preparation yesterday for its first football season under Coach by starting summer practice in searing 90-degree heat. Davis put his team, including this year’s freshman class, through a three-hour afternoon workout on campus. He was eager to start work and said that he is healthy after undergoing chemotherapy late last winter for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. (Winston-Salem Journal)
