Davis, Heels key on early development


Before he blew his first practice whistle of the season, UNC coach focused more on principles than Xs and Os. "We're programming them to be the best they can be," Davis said Friday. "It's a young football team, but, by the same token, it's a great opportunity for them to emerge." So Davis, instead of speculating on which players he expects to fill certain positions, talked about the team competing. (Rocky Mount Telegram)
