Brian Dixon To Sit Out 2007 Season


Sophomore safety will sit out the 2007 season and take a medical redshirt, a UNC football official informed Inside Carolina on Friday. Dixon, a 5-11, 205-pound native of of Tabor City, N.C., played in six games in 2006 and posted four primary tackles on special teams and as a reserve safety. He redshirted in 2005. Dixon was listed No. 2 at strong safety on the preseason depth chart. (Inside Carolina)
