UNC finished with a recruiting class of 25 that includes Marvin Austin, ranked No. 2 in the country among defensive linemen by SuperPrep. Seven recruits were SuperPrep All-Americas, and the magazine rated the class No. 2 in the ACC and No. 14 in the nation. “This is the foundation of things to come,” Butch Davis said. “There’s no question that not only is this recruiting class going to be part of the foundation, it’s going to help this football team.”
