With Marquise Williams making his first career start in a hostile environment, North Carolina needed to minimize mistakes and cut down on penalties to pull off the upset at Lane Stadium. That didn’t happen, resulting in a 27-17 Virginia Tech victory. “We made a lot of mistakes today,” UNC head coach Larry Fedora told reporters following the game. (Inside Carolina)
