Marquise Williams Flourishes in First Start

Despite of a week of assurances that Bryn Renner’s left foot injury wouldn’t prevent him from playing against Virginia Tech, it was Marquise Williams that got the start for North Carolina on Saturday. Renner dressed out and went through team warmups at Lane Stadium, but his mobility has clearly limited. The fifth-year senior appeared to roll his left foot in the fourth quarter of UNC’s loss to East Carolina.
