Harrison Barnes competing for starting spot

has been pegged as Golden State’s sixth man. To his credit, Barnes said he’d be fine with that role. Barnes had an up-and-down rookie year, but he broke out in the playoffs by averaging 16.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. That’s the type of performance that is usually rewarded with a larger role, not a lesser one. Perhaps, we shouldn’t shut the book on him getting that increased role. (NBC Sports)
