Defense hopes to develop consistency in off week

North Carolina's defense only allowed Virginia Tech running backs 48 netted yards Saturday but UNC suffered its second conference win, falling to the Hokies 17-27, after letting up two big pass plays that accounted for 128 of the Hokies' 293 passing yards. "Those two long pass plays were awful," defensive coordinator Vic Koenning said.
