ACC Basketball in the 1990s: Many fond farewells

The 1990s in ACC basketball were distinguished not so much by what players and coaches did, but by who was — and who wasn’t — left to do it. Duke and North Carolina spent the early seasons of the decade at long last dispelling the notion that the ACC was a regular-season heartthrob and postseason heartbreak. The Tar Heels tacked on Dean Smith’s second title in 1993.
