Wayne Ellington speaks to youth about value of academics


spent part of Thursday speaking to kids at Raul Quintanilla Sr. Middle School in West Dallas. The new Maverick was the first speaker in this year’s Mavs Academic All-Stars program. Ellington said he takes being a role model seriously. “It’s a huge responsibility,” he said. “It’s part of being an NBA player, of being a successful young guy that a lot of kids look up to."
