UNC Pursuing Long Snapper


North Carolina is looking to add a long snapper to its roster prior to the 2014 season. High on the Tar Heel coaching staff’s wish list is . “I would be going in as a preferred walk-on and then once I earn my spot as a starting long snapper, they’d put me on scholarship,” Murphy said. “I’m fine with that. I like the concept. It makes me have to work for it.” Prior to the season, UNC put on scholarship after he won the starting long snapper job during preseason practice. However, the senior suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Tar Heels’ opener. (Inside Carolina)
