Williams simmering over March meltdown

A simple mention of the Tar Heels’ Elite Eight loss to Georgetown last season and Roy Williams' spunk disintegrates. Williams lists only two other losses that hit him this hard. In 1984, as an assistant to Dean Smith, he watched as a Michael Jordan-led UNC squad stumbled in the Sweet 16 against Indiana. Thirteen years later, Williams’ top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks, owners of a 34-1 record, fell in the Sweet 16 to Arizona.
