Kendall Marshall waived by Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards wanted Marcin Gortat. The rest was filler. The Wizards waived guards Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee and Kendall Marshall, general manager Ernie Grunfeld announced Monday evening. They were acquired in a trade with the Phoenix Suns that brought Gortat to the Wizards in exchange for Emeka Okafor and a 2014 first-round draft pick. (USA Today)
