A $1.721 million football staff

All combined, North Carolina's nine assistant football coaches don't make as much as head coach Butch Davis, whose contract is worth $1.86 million a year. But it's close. UNC, which boasts seven new assistant coaches after firing John Bunting and hiring Davis, will pay out $1.721 million a year to Davis' coaching staff, according to the "appointment letters" obtained by The N&O on Wednesday.
